Properties
The effective broad-spectrum anthelmintic belonging to the benzimidazole group. It acts by inhibiting microtubule formation in the intestinal cells of parasites, leading to impaired glucose uptake and eventual death of the worms. Characterized by excellent efficacy against both mature and immature stages of nematodes, cestodes, and trematodes with high safety margin.
Indications
Drug of choice for the treatment and control of roundworms, tapeworms, liver flukes, and other gastrointestinal nematodes in livestock.
Dosage
Roundworm & Tapeworm: 5 to 10 mg/kg body weight Liver fluke: 10 to 15 mg/kg body weight Or as directed by the veterinarian.
