Each gram contains: Chlortetracycline Hydrochloride IP 200 mg
Properties
The effective broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline group. It exerts bacteriostatic action by inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. Characterized by excellent activity against Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria, Mycoplasma, and Chlamydia with good oral absorption and distribution in tissues.
Indications
Drug of choice for the treatment of mycoplasmosis (CRD) and other bacterial diseases of poultry such as infectious coryza, colibacillosis, fowl cholera, etc. Also indicated for bacterial infections in calves, goats, and sheep.
Dosage
Poultry (Mycoplasmosis): 110-300 mg per kg body weight or 1-3 gm per litre of drinking water for 7 days Poultry (Other bacterial diseases): 125-350 mg per kg body weight or 2.5 gm per litre of drinking water for 7 days Calves, Goats & Sheep: 5 gm per 25 kg body weight for 3-5 days Or as directed by the veterinarian.
