Each gram contains: Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate USP 800 mg
Properties
The effective bacteriostatic antibiotic belonging to the pleuromutilin group. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria. Characterised by excellent activity against Mycoplasma and Gram-positive organisms with good tissue penetration.
Indications
Drug of choice for the treatment and prevention of bacterial infections such as chronic respiratory disease (CRD), mycoplasmosis, infectious sinusitis in poultry and swine dysentery, enzootic pneumonia in pigs.
Dosage
Poultry: 25-50 gm in 100 Ltr of drinking water (adjust based on severity) for 3–5 days or as recommended by the veterinarian. Pigs: As directed by the veterinarian. Withdrawal Period: Chickens (Meat) – 3 days, Pigs (Meat) – 5 days.
