Composition
Each uncoated bolus contains: Metronidazole IP 1000 mg Furazolidone BP 200 mg
Properties
The effective broad-spectrum combination with potent antiprotozoal and antibacterial properties. Metronidazole acts against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa by disrupting DNA synthesis, while furazolidone provides additional broad antibacterial and antiprotozoal activity. Characterized by excellent activity in the gastrointestinal tract with rapid onset of action.
Indications
Drug of choice for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections, bacterial enteritis, protozoal diarrhea, giardiasis, amoebiasis, and other mixed bacterial and protozoal diseases in large and small animals.
Dosage
Large Animals: 4 bolus twice a day. Small Animals: 1–2 bolus twice a day. Or as directed by the veterinarian.
